Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help La Tuna Cat Ranch cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs
  • $300.00 - Puppies from 0 months to 5 months
  • $300.00 - Puppies from 5 months to 2 years
  • $250.00 - Dogs from 2 years to 5 years
  • $200.00 - Dogs from 5 years to 9 years
  • $100.00 - Dogs aged 9 years and up
Cats
$175 Adoption Fee

Fees for animals with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may have included medications.

 

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help La Tuna Cat Ranch cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the animal. At adoption, La Tuna Cat Ranch animal will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Dogs
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
  • Bordetella
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
  • Microchipped
  • Rabies
Cats
  • FVRCP Vaccines (3-4 boosters for kittens, 2 boosters for adults)
  • Rabies Vaccine (younger kitten adopters will be directed to a low-cost clinic as we cannot currently do them in-house)
  • Combo Test for FIV/FeLV (Feline AIDS and Leukemia)
  • Spay/Neuter (If a kitten has not been spayed/neutered yet, we will schedule an appointment for you and handle transport)
  • Microchip
  • Deworming
  • Flea/Ear Mite Treatments
